Hospital Bag Checklist for Partner

By Kate Bills

It’s important you pack a few things for your partner also.

They’ll be there for the delivery, most likely stay a few nights (or be back very early in the morning!) so it’s important they have the essentials also. This is what I packed for my partner:

  • A charger for his mobile
  • A change of clothes (I packed just one as he could drive home as we were very close to the hospital, but pack more if you live far away or know he/she/they will be staying longer).
  • Toiletries: toothbrush, deodorant (he could use my other toiletries)
  • Snacks (we both like different snacks, so I packed plenty for him also. The last thing you want is a Hangry partner).
  • A magazine

When you’ve gone through your hospital check list and you’re happy you have everything packed, either store the bags in the car you’ll be taking to the hospital or by the front door so they are easily visible.

Good luck with the packing beautiful mamas-to-be and I hope everything goes smoothly with your birth! It won’t be long and you’ll be enjoying those newborn cuddles.

With Love,

Kate x
